Welcome to Nina's Place - Healing Begins Here

Nina's Place is a sexual assault/domestic violence care centre named in memory of Nina de Villiers, the victim of a tragic assault in Burlington, in 1991.

We provide specialized care for women, men and youth who have experienced sexual assault within the past 72 hours and/or recent domestic violence. We also provide care to children who have recently told someone they have been sexually assaulted. We can only collect evidence if the assault took place within the past 24 hours.

At Nina's Place, we provide care for residents of Acton, Burlington, Georgetown, Milton and Oakville.

Our vision is to create a place of safety and dignity for victims/survivors of sexual assault and/or domestic violence and their children; a place where medical and police reports may be made with sensitivity and in privacy.

Specially-trained nurses are on call 24 hours a day and respond within 45 minutes to any client. A social Worker is also available during business hours to provide short-term counselling and information and referrals.

Hours of operation: Nina's Place is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Services are free.
