   Redevelopment and Expansion Update

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Joseph Brant Hospital. With a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, we are proud to be focused on the healthcare needs of our community. Over the past three years, Joseph Brant Hospital has made several progressive changes and has created a strong and clear focus on quality care, patient safety and exceptional customer service. We have made significant progress in our goal to become a leading practice community teaching hospital, and we have achieved many quality, safety and service goals including: 

  • We have amongst the lowest C. difficile rates in Ontario;
  • Our Emergency Department patient satisfaction scores are improved;
  • We have achieved a 30% reduction in admission wait times and a 35% decrease in wait times for MRI scans;
  • We consistently have one of the highest surgical safety checklist ratings in the province.

As we begin the hospital’s Redevelopment and Expansion Project, set to be completed in 2017/18, we want you to know that Our New Era is for you, our patients and our community.

NOTICE TO OUR PATIENTS,
FAMILY MEMBERS AND VISITORS:

Construction has begun on the the foundation of the new Halton McMaster Family Health Centre (HMFHC) and parking facility. This work will take approximately two months to complete. During this time, you will see an increase in construction machinery and activity on-site. There will also be an increase in construction noise, as the foundation is installed. This noise will be intermittent and we do appreciate your patience and support as this work takes place.   

During Phase 1 construction of the Hospital Redevelopment and Expansion Project, on-site parking capacity is reduced until March 2014.
