For the past 50 years, Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital has provided the greater Burlington community with a wide range of inpatient, outpatient and outreach services. We see over 170,000 patients every year including over 45,000 Emergency Department visits, 61,000 plus outpatient clinic visits, approximately 11,000 same day surgery cases and close to 12,000 operating room inpatient cases.  

This past year we developed an exciting and bold new three-year strategic plan to become the roadmap for our organization that is allowing us to deliver, into the future, on our vision, Compassionate Care. Exemplary Service. Every Time. It is through our strategic plan that we aim to lead in quality and service excellence and to continue to focus on evidence based practice. 

We are also very excited that this year we will begin construction on our recently approved $300 plus million hospital redevelopment and expansion project. This is the largest expansion ever at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital - an expansion that will position the hospital to successfully meet the health care needs of our community for many years to come. Construction of the new facility will take six years with the goal of having a new hospital opened in 2018.
